In March 2016, the convention season expands with the first Silicon Valley Comic Con in San Jose, California. The convention, run by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, looks to bring a variety of comic book creators, TV and Film stars, video game, music, and tech giants all to one place, blending pop culture and technology.

Today, the SVCC announced several of their guests in their first wide release, as well as an open call for panel proposals for the convention.

Jeremy Renner, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Sean Astin, Ray Park, William Shatner, Christopher Lloyd, and Stan Lee are among the celebrities attending the convention. Director Tim Miller will make an appearance, almost exactly one month after his movie, Deadpool hits theaters. Andy Weir, author of The Martian, Adam Savage of MythBusters, and Astro Teller, head of X Labs are some of the more varied guests.

The convention also announced special exhibits from Madame Tussad’s with wax figures of both tech and film celebrities, and Rancho Obi-Wan, the largest Star Wars memorabilia collection in the world, plus the Stan Lee Mega Museum.

Silicon Valley Comic Con will be held at the San Jose Convention Center from March 18-20, 2016. Those wishing to submit a panel can do so here, and those who want to purchase tickets can do so here.
