Quesada created the art with inker Jimmy Palmiotti, who has gone on to become a star writer, artist and small publisher in his own right.

A private collector and sole owner of these rare works will be making select pieces available for public display for the first time since purchasing them from Quesada himself. Joe Quesada’s career at Marvel began with his Daredevil series with Smith and Palmiotti under their Marvel Knights banner. The Marvel Knights line was a massive hit, reinvigorating a number of troubled franchises, and its success catapulted Quesada to Editor-In-Chief a few short years later. In 2004, he returned to both drawing and writing the character with Daredevil: Father, a very personal story — pages which have never been seen publicly before now.

“When I received the call that we were being offered the opportunity to display this collection of Joe Quesada art, I couldn’t believe it. This is a privilege reserved for very few, and we are honored to have been chosen to host the exhibit,” said Martha Donato, Executive Director and Founder of the New Jersey Comic Expo. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for fans of Quesada to see this work in person.”

“I’ve never displayed my Daredevil art anywhere as it’s very personal to me, but felt that fans should have an opportunity to see them,” said the art’s owner, who wishes to remain anonymous. “The New Jersey Expo, right outside of NYC where Daredevil’s adventures are told, seemed to be the right place to exhibit them. With the Daredevil TV Series, more people are aware of Daredevil than ever before.Make no mistake, these are not for sale, and this is the only venue that I now plan to show them, so this is a once in a lifetime opportunity event for fans who want to see them.”

Throughout the weekend, attendees can view and photograph the pieces for the first time ever.
