Jeremy London, the Party of Five star who played the lovestruck T.S. Quint in 1995’s Mallrats, is the latest actor confirmed to return for the sequel, writer/director Kevin Smith posted to Facebook.

London is one of the few actors from Kevin Smith’s oeuvre who has never returned for more; even his Mallrats co-star Shannen Doherty, who is supposedly hard to work with, came back for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Wherever Jaws pops out of the water, T.S. Quint will be there! JEREMY LONDON is going back to the MALL, ya’ll! 8 down, 4 to go! Collect ’em all! #MR2

Doherty, too, will return for Mallrats 2, with a cast that so far includes Smith himself, Jason Mewes, Michael Rooker, Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee and Stan Lee.

The original film centered on a romance between London’s character and Claire Forlani’s Brandi Svenning, whom the credits sequence revealed married TS at the Universal Studios tour as Jaws popped out of the water. Twenty years later, we know that Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee) has given up his Tonight Show gig to run a comic book store and that young sexologist Tricia Jones was still hanging around town as of 2001’s Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Actress Renée Humphrey, who played Tricia, is likely to be one of the four Smith refers to as yet to be cast. Other candidates include Forlani, Ben Affleck, Sven-Ole Thorsen and a number of recurring cameos from Smith’s other films, like Clerks star Brian O’Halloran or Smith’s Comic Book Men collaborators Bryan Johnson and Walt Flanagan.
