The series will debut on Netflix with a full length feature film. The film will be followed by 12 half hour episodes beginning in 2016.
Set in 2050, the CGI animated series takes the classic King Kong story into the future. Alcatraz Island has been turned into the leading Natural History and Marine Preserve on the planet. Kong is the island’s star attraction, but becomes public enemy number one after a villains frames him. The villain then unleashes an army of gigantic robotic dinosaurs on the world. The fugitive Kong is the only creature strong enough to fight the robot dinosuars, and three young humans who know the truth risk their lives to help Kong evade capture, while he battles to save humankind.
No really, that’s the plot. Outlaw Kong vs. robot dinosaurs in the future.
