The art will be sold as an exclusive print at the exhibition, and Konietzko will donate the entirety of his proceeds to an LGBTQ suicide prevention hotline.
The Korrasami romance was one the shipping community had been supporting for some time during The Legend of Korra‘s four seasons on the air, though most assumed that a same-sex pairing would never be made canon on a show aimed at a younger demographic.
They were pleasantly surprised when the show ended with the implication that Korra and Asami were indeed entering into a romantic relationship, and even more pleased when the creators confirmed this as canon.
The Legend of Korra / Avatar: The Last Airbender Tribute Exhibition takes place March 7.
