The fan site caught up with Hill, the son of best-selling novelist and one-man media empire Stephen King, reported that “Hill informed me that the adaptation is unfortunately no longer happening, but there’s still hope for Locke & Key on television.”
There was a 2011 TV pilot, which Hill has said FOX passed on because it was too scary for a primetime network audience.
Hill is currently at work on his fourth book, due out next year, and has new comics work in development as well.
