During the Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures panel at 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International, Warner Bros. officially announced that Superman & Batman will team-up in the Man Of Steel sequel, scheduled to be released in 2015.At the end of the panel, Man Of Steel director Zack Snyder took the podium. Zack Snyder said that he was officially announcing the Man Of Steel sequel, but he couldn’t say what it was about. However, there was a single element he could reveal. He said he poured through the DC Universe to look for a way to reveal this.Zack Snyder said Harry Lennix was there because his voice was better for the reveal. Harry Lennix said, “I want you to remember Clark in all the years to come. In all your private moments, my hand at your throat. I want you to remember, the one man who beat you.” The Batman/Superman logo was then shown on the screen.The first Man Of Steel movie proved to be a huge success for Warner Bros. at both the United States and the International box office. The film currently ranks as the second highest grossing film of 2013 at the domestic box office and has grossed over $600 million at the worldwide box office.Rumors that Warner Bros. had already greenlit a sequel for Man Of Steel first popped up after Man Of Steel powered to a $116.6 million opening weekend at the U.S. box office. While it was pretty much a given that the movie would get a sequel, today’s announcement was Warner Bros. first confirmation of the fact.Man Of Steel director Zack Snyder will be directing the Superman & Batman team-up movie, while Man Of Steel writer David S. Goyer will be writing the screenplay.Henry Cavill will be reprising his role as Superman in the Superman & Batman team-up movie, but it was not revealed who will be playing Batman. Christian Bale is not expected to return to the Batman role.
