Before she got the role of Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s hugely anticipated Superman reboot Man of Steel, The Muppets star Amy Adams already had a long-standing relationship with the character. That’s because, according to a new interview in Total Film (out today), she had already screen-tested with Warner Bros. to play Lois Lane.Twice.”When J.J. Abrams and Brett Ratner were planning a version, I actually did a screen test with Matt Bomer,” says the actress, who back then was best-known for Catch Me If You Can or maybe a short stint on The Office. “And then when Superman Returns came round I read again. So this is my third go at it.”Bomer, ironically enough, is finally playing Superman this year, too. He stars as the Man of Steel in Superman Unbound, one of the DC Universe animated feature films, which will be available on Blu-Ray, DVD and streaming video services on May 7. The film is based on the “Brainiac” storyline by DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.
