Beetlejuice himself—Michael Keaton—has officially gone on the record about returning for a possible Beetlejuice sequel, and it’s good news for fans of the Tim Burton cult-classic.
In a recent interview, Keaton revealed that he “hopes” to reunite with Tim Burton on another Beetlejuice installment. However, Keaton also said that he wasn’t sure what the possible sequel’s official status was, stating “We don’t know yet,” to People Magazine. But now that Keaton is officially on-board for Beetlejuice 2, it seems like momentum is even more in the sequels’s favor.

A sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 horror-comedy classic has been gaining steam over the past several months, with Burton revealing that a screenplay is in the works. Additionally, Beetlejuice’s other star-Winona Ryder, has said that she’s also interested in working on another Beetlejuice installment.
