That news came out shortly after the first season wrapped, but there’s been few updates about the show since. Now, fans have been gifted with a major teaser about Season 2 from the show’s creators.

After a long wait, fans have finally be told Season 2 of My Hero Academia will debut in April 2017.
The show’s official website announced the news, and fans have been giddy ever since. The news about Season 2 was also paired with a new key visual that was illustrated by Yoshihiko Umakoshi, character designers and chief animation director. The poster highlights a slew of characters like the hero All-Might, Izuka Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugou, and more.
If you are not familiar with My Hero Academia, then you should know the series kicked off in 2014 when Weekly Shonen Jump published Kลhei Horikoshi’s manga. The series was then adapted into an anime in April 2016 and quickly gained popularity.
The show follows a middle school student named Izuku Midoriya. The boy is a regular teenager who was born in an alternate universe where everyone is born with superpowers. That is, except for him. Izuku dreams of still becoming a famous and beloved superhero, but he finds himself mocked for the optimistic goal.
However, his classmates are soon put in their place with Izuku does something truly heroic; The boy saves a fellow classmate of his from a villain when no one else would, and the world’s greatest superhero, All Might, decides to gift the boy with a power. The gift, which is known as One For All, allows Izuku to channel great physical strength – and it finally allows him to enter the training academy U.A. High School.
The first season follows Izuku has he tries to hone is newfound abilities and navigate the treacherous waters of high school life. The boy and his friends end the season as heroes after they managed to defend their school from a gang of scheming villains, but all is not peaceful in Izuku’s world. The second season hints that a school-wide tournament will be held, and Izuku will have to go fist-to-fist when some of his greatest enemies yet.
If you want to catch up on the well-loved anime, then you still have time to do so before the second season of My Hero Academia premieres. Sites such as Hulu provide English subbed episodes of the first season, so you can binge all 13 episodes to your heart’s content.
My Hero Academia will return in April 2017.
