UP NEXT: Anime Spin-Off Series Announced

Earlier today, TV Tokyo unveiled a website that contains a video teaser for the series. The short footage announces the show’s premiere date and features characters like Boruto, Sarada, and and Mitsuki. The three ninjas are members of Konoha’s second generation of warriors following Kishimoto’s original Naruto anime. Fans can watch as Boruto flies towards the screen wielding the powerful Rasengan jutsu, leaving fans with no questions about how alike the boy is to his famous father.

The site also posted a key visual from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The image shows the trio in hi-res, and fans can even spot the newly rebuilt Konoha village in the background along with the Hokage Mountain. If you look closely, fans can see the faces of Kakashi and Naruto have been added to the massive monument.

And, what’s more, the site also confirmed that several voice actors would reprise their roles for the spin-off. Yuko Sanpei will play Boruto while Kokoro Kikuchi plays Sarada. Mitsuki will be voiced by Ryลซichi Kijima, and Naruto Uzumaki will be brought to life by Junko Takeuchi.

Of course, fans have seen Boruto in the world of anime. The character was introduced in a spin-off manga by Ukyล Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto. Kishimoto oversaw the project and even helped bring Boruto to the big screen a few years back with Boruto: Naruto the Movie. Since then, the legacy character has been seen in a one-off anime special and will be featured in a DLC pack for Naruto Shippลซden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.
