IMAX has tweeted a new Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice image of Henry Cavill filming a scene in which Superman appears at a Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) celebration, and the crowd — half of them with their faces painted like skulls — reach out to touch the pensive superhero.
The image was accompanied with the caption: “The Man of Steel is adored by fans dead and alive in this behind-the-scenes still from Batman v Superman.”
In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Zack Snyder’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters March 25, 2016.
