A new clip from Zack Snyder’s Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice was shown during CBS Sunday Morning, as part of a segment on the illustrious four-decade career of Oscar-winning actress Holly Hunter (The Piano).

The new footage features Hunter’s character, Senator Finch, holding a Senate hearing on the destruction that was inflicted upon Metropolis during General Zod and Superman’s knock-down-drag-out fight. We hear her deliver two lines to the Man of Steel: “We act by the consent of the governed, sir.” and “Because today, is a day for truth.” We also see Scoot McNairy’s unspecified character off to the side, glaring at Superman.
