A new series of stories will appear on Pottermore, the official online destination of all things Harry Potter, exploring “The History of Magic in North America,” it was announced Monday morning. The four original stories are written by J.K. Rowling and will help tie together the worlds of Harry Potter and the upcoming film trilogy, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. A trailer (above) debuted to tease the series.

The first chapter comes to Pottermore on Tuesday March 8 at 9 am ET, with the others presumably appearing daily, as the announcement said “this week” for the stories.
The stories will explore magic in North America interwoven with real history, like the Native American skinwalkers legend and the Salem witch trials. The U.S. versions of Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic have been named and will be told of in the stories as well, as we explore the school of Ilvermorny and the Magical Congress of the USA.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters November 18, 2016.
