PGO Productions Inc. is gearing up for a new Pokemon centered web series called The PGO Show. The series sets out to explore how Pokemon GO and the Pokemon culture in general fare when viewed through a real-world lens. The team behind the show is targeting diehard Pokemon fans and casual fans alike with the show, and is even selecting 500 trainers to view the pilot ahead of time, so their feedback can affect the final cut.
“In parallel to their own quest to catch ’em all, viewers can expect to see global landmarks in a new light, fearless characters with a mission and even the mundane moments that mimic a real life experience,” said PGO Productions. “Pokรฉmon engages a wildly diverse audience, one that viewers can expect to explore alongside as the web series evolves.”
In the first teaser for the show, a former Pokemon fan is seen rediscovering her love for the game through Pokemon GO, but her mother doesn’t seem to be on board. You can view the first trailer above, and you can find out more about the show at their official site.
It’s nice to see the game spawn something other than random incidents like this. The game is only going to continue to gain popularity as it releases in more territories.
