Some new clarity has brought to the rumors of a Captain Britain television series being in the works at Marvel Television.

The rumors began when artist Ciara McAvoy tweeted out a Captain Britain costume design, claiming it was for a TV series and that more information would be coming soon. This led some to believe that Marvel already had a Captain Britain series in the pipeline, but it turns that’s not the case.
Producer Chris Lark clarified on Twitter that he and co-producer Eleni Larchanidou are in the “very early stages” of creating a highlight reel for a Captain Britain TV series, which they hope to present to Marvel Television in 2017. Here are his tweets:

So this means there is officially no Captain Britain series in development at Marvel, though Lark and Larchanidou seem to want to change that next year.
