Well folks, it looks like Hellboy III is finally happening – At least the meetings to move forward with the movie are happening.

Yesterday, Guillermo Del Toro promised fans that he would set a meeting with Hellboy star Ron Perlman, and creator Mike Mignola, if his Twitter poll reached 100k votes in 24 hours.

The fans responded quickly, and the poll passed it’s goal well before the time was up. Del Toro is moving forward with the meeting, but it looks like he’s not the only member of the Hellboy creative team that’s totally on-board for another round.

Ron Perlman was active on social media yesterday, trying to get fans to vote on the poll. After Del Toro announced that he would set the meeting, he soon followed it up by saying that Perlman was willing to talk.

On Perlman’s account, he shared a photo of the poll, in hopes that the votes would keep going.

Later, the actor told fans how greatful he was for their willingness to participate. The thanked the Hellboy followers for helping get this movie off the ground, and for helping launch the first two films.

Now, with Del Toro and Perlman open to another movie, all eyes are on Mike Mignola. The writer/artist who created Hellboy for Dark Horse Comics is the missing piece of the puzzle at this point. If he wants to move forward – and a great idea for a third film comes up between the three men – there’s a good chance Hellboy III could be on its way to production.

At the end of World War II, the Nazis attempt to open a portal to a paranormal dimension in order to defeat the Allies, but are only able to summon a baby demon who is rescued by Allied forces and dubbed “Hellboy” (Ron Perlman). Sixty years later, Hellboy serves as an agent in the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, where he, aided by Abe Sapien (Doug Jones), a merman with psychic powers, and Liz Sherman (Selma Blair), a woman with pyrokinesis, protects America against dark forces.
