Martin Freeman, star of The Hobbit and Sherlock, has teased that while it could be some time before they’re shooting another series of Sherlock, a stand-alone episode could be coming up sooner than that — although he doesn’t know just when.”Mark Gatiss may beat me up, but there is an idea for this one-off special that’s such a good idea, and as I was listening to it I thought ‘we’ve just got to do this,’” Freeman told an English chat show (via Cult Box). “And I don’t know when we are going to be able to do it, unfortunately”.He added, “it’s a fantastic, really mouth-watering idea. But I really don’t know when we are going to get to do it.”Freeman, who has also starred in The Office and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, appears in Sherlock as John Watson alongside Star Trek Into Darkness star Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes.
