In a collaboration between series author Stephanie Meyer, Lionsgate, Women in Film, Facebook, and Volvo, a project called “The Storytellers: New Voices of Twilight Saga gave fans the chance to craft their own short films featuring the Twilight Saga’s world and characters. The purpose of the contest, which let participants write a screenplay or direct a film, was to let small-tie creators lend their own voices to Meyer’s world of Vampires.
And after 1,200 submissions from contestants, six winners were chosen for the competition’s screenplay writing portion. The scripts, and their authors, are below:
“The Groundskeeper” by Sarah Turi Boshear follows Alice and the events that led to her becoming a vampire.
“Sunrise” by Alanna Smith tells Benjamin’s story.
“Turncoats” by Lindsey Hancock Williamson is about Garrett and Carlisle during the Revolutionary War.
“The Mary Alice Brandon File” by Kailey and Sam Spear focuses on Alice’s human life before she became a vampire.
“Consumed” by Cullyn Doerfler & Megan L. Reese tells Jane and Alec’s story.
“We’ve Met Before” by Thea Green is all about Alice and Jasper’s first meeting.
