In the video from Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill, a new campaign has been announced for Force for Change. Between April 5th and May 4th, you’ll be able to donate here to one of one of four charities, which include the American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Make A Wish, and Unicef. During that time-span, your donations will be matched by Force for Change up to $1,000,000.

There will be small contests taking place as well. In week one the first 20 fans to raise or donate at least 4500 will win Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens on Blu-ray signed by the cast. Not a bad way to start things out.

“Star Wars fans are some of the most generous, thoughtful, and sympathetic people I have ever met,” says Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. “I am so proud of the charitable work they have done over the years and hope this month-long donation-matching campaign will go some way to express our sincere thanks for their tireless efforts.”

If you are able to give something ,even a little bit, then this is as good a time as any. You’ll help out some great organizations and get a little Star Wars swag in the process. You can find out more about the program and donate at their website.
