While no official announcement has come from Disney or LucasArts, Fraser let it slip in an interview with website HitFix.
“And then I’m doing a ****ing “Star Wars” movie, which is like – I don’t know about you but “Star Wars” is like my first film love, do you know what I mean?” Fraser told the website.
Fraser just recently finished work on the upcoming Foxcatcher film, and is widely recognized for his work on Zero Dark Thirty. When he begins work on Star Wars, he’ll join director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla). Frasers’ inclusion is the first major news on the spinoff Star Wars feature that will follow J.J. Abrams’ Episode VII.
The unnamed Star Wars project is still slated for a December 2016 release, delivering LucasArts and Disney promise to release a new Star Wars film every year.
