CB: So, you have a really big schedule coming up after Insidious: Chapter 3. You’ve got four movies coming out this year.
SS: Yeah! It’s awesome.
We’re big Jem and The Hologram fans, have you ever seen that cartoon before?
Of course I’ve seen the cartoon! I didn’t grow up on it but I watched it all on Netflix.
That makes sense. Do you think the cartoon fans will be satisfied with the movie after seeing it?
I really think so. I think it’s amazing that they’re so passionate about the show and that means so much to us who are recreating the film. Now, we definitely brought it to modern day life and turned into a more coming of age story. There’s so much in the show that is in the movie that everyone needs to see it to understand it. We couldn’t put everything in the trailer!
Now, you go from a horrifying movie to a much more lighthearted Jem and The Holograms, how do you get into these roles that are so different?
I actually did Jem first and then I did Insidious like two weeks after. I got the audition like… I did the audition the morning after the wrap party for Jem so it all came pretty fast. I think it was more just being in the mind set… I kind of had to go to this dark place afterwards but I don’t know, it was really this happy set though. I think it’s more just once the cameras are rolling – just being in the scene and being present.

According to Stefanie, this is a case where you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Not putting everything in the trailer should actually be a pleasant surprise in comparison to most films, as of late. Cough – Age of Ultron – cough.
Insidious: Chapter 3 hits theaters June 5, 2015 and Jem and The Holograms is set for release October 23, 2015.
How do you feel about the upcoming Jem and The Holograms movie?
