The episode titles might include what will be the highly anticipated Scooby Doo and Supernatural animated crossover episode, though which episode it is in particular has yet to be revealed. Within the episode titles orginally revealed by SpoilerTV are a number of potential spoilers which fans of the series can piece together.
Here is the list of titles for Episodes 1 through 9 for Supernatural Season 13:
Episode 1: “Lost and Found”Episode 2: “The Rising Sun”Episode 3: “Patience”Episode 4: “The Big Empty”Episode 5: “Advanced Thanatology”Episode 6: “Tombstone”Episode 7: “War of the Worlds”Episode 8: “The Scorpion and the Frog”Episode 9: “The Bad Place”
Episode 3 is set to introduce the Sam and Dean’s granddaughter under the title of “Patience,” which is said to help set up a Wayward Sisters spinoff series.
Then, Episode 4 bring an ominous title based on the Season 11 idea of “The Big Empty,” originally posed by Billie. The idea is that there is a space where death is entirely permanent, locked somewhere between heaven, hell, and purgatory. Castiel has made efforts to diffuse the possibilities but they remain.
As for the Episode 7, “War of the Worlds” title, it is unlikely the H.G. Wells story turned Tom Cruise action flick will be the theme of a Supernatural episode, seeing as alien life doesn’t exist in the show’s mythology but parallel worlds reserve the ability to have them.
When it comes to the Scooby Doo crossover, it is possible the title is not listed above, seeing as the finished animations won’t be in until 2018. “Andrew [Dabb] knew some guys over at Warner Bros. Animation and they floated this idea. We took it to Warner Bros. and asked, ‘What do you think?’ and everybody got really excited about it,” Supernatural executive producer Robert Singer told Hidden Remote. “The guys have already recorded their parts and, I think, the Scooby Doo people have already recorded their parts. It’s one of our bigger swings. I would say three-quarters of that episode is animation. I’ve seen the tests of Sam and Dean working with Scooby, it’s pretty fantastic. We’re really excited about it. I’m pretty confident people are going to like it. It’s a long process. We started working on this last January and we won’t get the final animation until this coming January. We’ve been talking it for years and we’ve finally able to pull it off.”
