An exclusive deleted scene from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows was released today in hopes of promoting the film’s upcoming home video release later this month. Megan Fox who plays the role of reporter and dear friend of the heroes in a half shell April O’ Neil surprisingly runs into a familiar face for fans of the original ’90s franchise (no, it’s not Corey Feldman).

Watch the blast from the past deleted scene below:
If you guessed the original April O’Neil played by Judith Hoag, score one point for you! In the scene Fox is sort of forced into taking a meeting with the big boss at Channel 6, who just so happens to be the original April minus the yellow pantsuit. She continues to offer Fox quite a cushy deal to be the face of the news desk, while offering her some sound advice, “You know…you and I are basically the same person.”
Get it? Because they are the same person. Well, we laughed! Two generations of April O’ Neil is almost too much ace reporter for one scene to handle, but is still a nice bit of fan service among the rest of the film, which is arguably one huge spectacle with a few one-liners tossed in. But still an extremely fun watch, nonetheless.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows debuts on Digital HD today and on Blu-ray and DVD on Sept. 20.
