With the release earlier today of not one, but three new international posters for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a lot of people seem to have overlooked a pretty obvious homage going on in one of the posters.Which is a shame, really, since that homage might be fairly significant, depending on how clever and literal the filmmakers are looking to be.The image at left, featuring Spider-Man’s eye-covering reflecting the scene of his battle with Electro back at the reader, seemed eerily familiar when first we saw it–and then it clicked:
