In the wake of the tragic mass shooting this morning in Colorado, Warner Brothers have cancelled tonight’s planned Paris premiere for The Dark Knight Rises, according to The Hollywood Reporter.”Warner Bros. and the filmmakers are deeply saddened to learn about this shocking incident. We extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims at this tragic time,” read a statement released by Warner Brothers earlier today.Director Christopher Nolan, as well as members of the cast, are in France to promote the film but in addition to cancelling tonight’s premiere, the studio also scrapped a planned press conference at hotel Le Bristol this morning, as well as Marion Cotillard’s 8 p.m. appearance on TF1’s network news. The report seems to suggest that the number of shooting victims has been revised downward, suggesting 38 injured as opposed to the 50 reported earlier; unofficial reports out of Colorado are suggesting that there may be an additional fatality, bringing the total number of deaths in the attack to 13.
