“In the first episode we meet him and he’s on the verge of a massive advancement, discovery, and it all goes wrong,” Cavanagh explains. “The man ends up in a wheelchair and it looks like that could be it — that could be all there is to the story. But as he goes about making amends with his abilities and with his team, it becomes clear that maybe there’s more to it than just righting a wrong.”
