Rooney Mara, who played the punk-rock, expert computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, says a sequel to David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo probably won’t happen.

“I don’t think it’s going to happen,” Rooney told Eonline at the Oxfam dinner she hosted with Barneys New York at Chateau Marmont. “I’m sad never to do it again, but it just doesn’t seem like it’s in the cards.”
The R-rated thriller cost $90M to produce – minus marketing – and grossed $233 at the world wide box office. Fincher had said the sequel, which could have been titled “The Girl Who Played With Fire,” would’ve have been different from the book.
