With $16.6 million grossed on Friday, The final installment of the Peter Jackson trilogy will most likely gain $54 million by the end of the weekend. It would bring the film’s five-day total to $88 million, according to Variety.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb came in second Friday with $5.6 million.
Annie earned the third spot Friday with $5.3 million.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 followed in fourth with $2.28 million.
With 2.27 million Exodus: Gods and Kings rounded out the top five on Friday.
