Screen Junkies has released a new Honest Trailer, this time telling the truth about The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the second film in the second Middle-earth trilogy.

The trailer points out the films’ staggering run time, filler set pieces, and creepy dwarf-elf romance subplot, which wasn’t at all present in J.R.R. Tolkien’s original writings, and lots more.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is already out of Blu-ray and DVD. The trilogy’s finale, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, is currently sitting at the top of the box office.
