Last August, when the Baywatch movie was first announced, Pamela Anderson (Barb Wire) — original cast member and breakout star of the ’90s television series — voiced her displeasure with the raunchy film adaptation. However, she’s put that all that behind her, as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has just announced that Anderson has joined the cast.
“She introduced the world to ‘CJ Parker’ and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation – for the most successful TV show of all time,” wrote Johnson. “A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our Baywatch cast. We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!”

This makes Anderson the second member of the TV cast to hop on board the project. Just last month, Johnson revealed that David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff, who played Mitch Buchannon, will make an appearance as well.
Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) is directing Baywatch, based on a script by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. The film also stars Jon Bass, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, and Zac Efron. Baywatch will arrive in theaters on May 19, 2017.
