Halloween Horror Nights has been an annual event at Universal for 24 years. The park will be transformed into a horror-themed celebration on select night between September 19 and November 1. This year Universal Studios Hollywood is also getting in on the action with its own The Walking Dead Season 4 maze.
Guests will begin the maze at the prison and follow the plot points from Season Four of The Walking Dead as they make their way to Terminus.
“They’ll be inside the Big Spot where we’re literally building a helicopter above peoples’ heads,” Halloween Horror Night director Mike Aiello tells USA Today. “We’ve got the country club with all the hanging walkers. We’ve got the burned-down moonshine shack that Daryl and Beth find ….”
The Walking Dead executive producer Greg Nicotero is helping Aiello and his team bring The Walking Dead to Universal theme parks.
“There will be more scare-actors in this maze than any other in the history of the event. Literally double the cast,” reveals Aiello.
