We’ve had more zombies than ever, a gigantic mystery surrounding a certain pizza boy’s survival, and some widow on widower lovin’ in Alexandria.
Let’s take a look at the best moments season six has had to offer in its first half.
What Are Those?!
ย
The 90-minute premiere of The Walking Dead had one of the biggest, “Oh s—!” moments of the entire series and nobody had to be brutally killed to stir us up.
As Rick, Michonne, Daryl, and the group executed Rick’s master plan of leading the world’s largest walker horde away from Alexandria, some jerks called the Wolves decided it would be an opportune time to drive their big rig straight into the Alexandria walls.
The horns ringing out at the end of episode 6×01 was an unexpected twist but even more, the following episode which showed the Wolves’ savage attack on Alexandria was even more disturbing. But, we got to watch Carol go undercover and take down the pack in what wa arguably the best moment any character has had so far.

Most of despised Michael Traynor’sย Nicholas character by the end of season five after he cost several people their lives and attempted to kill Glenn. However, he was on a path to redemption in season six until he took the coward’s way out.
In season six’s most shocking moment, Nicholas shot himself in the head atop a dumpster while surrounded by a herd of walkers and fell directly into Glenn. The two would fall to the ground and apparently be devoured.
Afterwards, almost all fans suspected Glenn to have survived, and rightfully so. However, the mystery would be drawn out over the course of four episodes and we got quite frustrated with the slow storytelling regarding Glenn’s fate. Nevertheless, the moment earned some great reactions videos on YouTube.

In the time Glenn was missing, Maggie and Aaron decided sneak out of the walls and avoid a walker herd to look for our favorite pizza delivery boy.
When the two found themselves trapped in a sewer barricaded by zombies from the outside, Maggie broke down and revealed to Aaron that she is carrying Glenn’s baby.
Instantly, we needed to know Glenn was alive. It would be another two weeks until we found out, though.

Season six hasn’t seen many main characters killed off yet. Deanna Monroe wasn’t as lucky as the rest.
After the Alexandria walls fell, Deanna found herself caught in the herd of walkers and was bitten after falling on a saw. This moment wasn’t the great moment in reference, but rather, her epic realization in which Tovahย Feldshuhย delivered the epic, “Well, s—” line.ย
Deanna knew there was nothing she could do after finding a bite near her abdomen. The realization was awful for her, the characters in the room, and the audience, yet Deanna handled it so casually!

It’s about time Rick got himself a lady. It probably won’t be long-lived, but still.
Amidst all the chaos, after killing her husband and losing his wife, Rick finally made a move on Jessie. In the garage, nonetheless.
Sure, we expect Jessie to lose her hand and then her life in the coming episodes based on our knowledge from the comics, but for a brief moment in time, we all cheered for Rick. It’s about time.
