TheWalkingDead.com Launches Today

In addition to returning to TV with new episodes today, The Walking Dead is also launching a brand new website online. While there are already numerous fan sites for The Walking Dead, TheWallkingDead.com will be an official website from Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and his Image Comics imprint Skybound.TheWalkingDead.com is specifically being launched today to tie in with the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead on AMC. TheWalkingDead.com promises to cover not only the TV series but also the comic books and the video games.In addition, TheWalkingDead.com will have special contests, wikis with information on various characters, and exclusive merchandise.  The official website will also be the first place to announce such live events as The Walking Dead Escape, which is an obstacle course that premiered at Comic-Con. In addition to Comic-Con, The Walking Dead Escape will be touring the country and running at various other locations this year.
