IMDb, that page you go to for every minuscule movie fact, has released a chart revealing the highest rated movies, by their users, by year, for the past 25 years.

Among those fan favorite films are two Batman movies, both of which belong to Christopher Nolan. As you can see in the image below, Batman Begins claimed the highest IMDb user rating for 2005 and The Dark Knight even beat out Iron Man for 2008. The two Batman films are the only super hero flicks on the chart, with 2012’s The Avengers behind Django Unchained and 2014’s Winter Solder and Guardians of the Galaxy both failing to top Interstellar (another win for Nolan).

DC’s non-Batman super hero film of the last decade, Man of Steel, was defeated for 2013 by The Wolf of Wall Street. That’s a pretty big dent Nolan and Leonardo DiCaprio combine for over the past 10 years. What is your favorite movie by year for each of the last 10 years? Leave a list from 2005-2015 in the comment section!
