After Rick and Morty brought Szechuan sauce back to mainstream popularity, McDonald’s decided to finally bring back the condiment to please all of the fans. However, the fast food chain didn’t handle the one-day release of the sauce very well, and other franchises are getting in on ribbing it.

Rick and Morty fans flooded McDonald’s locations around the country to try and get their hands on the sacred sauce, which hasn’t been available since 1998. Much to their dismay, hordes of those looking for sauce were turned away, as many of the locations claimed to be sold out.
In a fit of rage, fans flooded Twitter with irate messages directed at McDonald’s, and it looks like Wendy’s joined in the fun.
The Twitter account for the rival fast food chain started replying to many of these customers, absolutely slaughtering McDonald’s in the process.
I’ll Be There for You
Like a true friend, Wendy’s began telling many fans that it would always be there for them, no matter how let down they were by McDonald’s.
Sorry you had to live through this. We’ll be here for you.

All About the Sauce
Since the whole issue was about the lack of Szechuanย Sauce at McDonald’s, Wendy’s was certainly going to address the issue with a heavy hand.
Just follow the line of disappointed fans that didn’t get sauce.

We’d say follow the trail of sauce, but there aren’t nearly enough to make a trail.
โ Wendy’s (@Wendys) October 7, 2017
This might have been the biggest roast of the entire exchange.
We’ll start by actually having our sauce.
