Wonder Woman Gets The Spotlight In New Batman V. Superman Promo Images

While previous promotional images for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice have emphasized the titular characters or DC’s Trinity as a group, two new promotional images put the spotlight firmly on Wonder Woman.

Released by Heroic Hollywood, the first of the two new images shows a silhouetted Wonder Woman in the foreground, with Batman and Superman looming behind. The second thrusts Diana even more front-and-center, showing her with more detail and wearing a cape, while Batman and Superman are just small silhouettes in the background.

Looks like Warner Bros. plans to capitalize on what some perceive as a lack of female presence in the area of superhero marketing and merchandise.

In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
