BOOM! Studios and WWE have celebrated WrestleMania and SummerSlam, and now they’re including one more piece of the big four.

That would be Survivor Series, and they’ve assembled an all-star roster to celebrate the big event in style. The WWE Survivors Series 2017 Special will include talented writers like Kevin Panetta (Zodiac Starforce), Ryan Rerrier (Kong on the Planet Of The Apes), and Julian May (Saga of Pilocene Exile). The book will also feature stellar visuals from Brooklyn Allen (Lumberjanes), Kendall Goode (The Doorman), and Kelly Williams (The Cabinet).
The book will also launch with two covers. The main WWE Survivor Series 2017 Special cover is created by Rahzzah, while the ” Montreal Screwjob WWE What If?” variant is done by Jim Rugg (Street Angel).
“Anyone who’s familiar with Survivor Series knows it’s chock-full of firsts,” says BOOM! Studios Editor Jasmine Amiri. “Survivor Series is where The Rock and Undertaker both debuted. It is where The Shield first arrived. And of course, it’s where the Gobbledy Gooker first flew into our hearts. Continuing that tradition, we’ll be debuting our first Survivor Series special this year and loading it up with epic matches and stories throughout WWE history.”
BOOM! and WWE’s 2017 specials feature multiple short stories revolve around epic matchups and meetings. Survivors Series will be no different and will include some huge moments in WWE History. From recent events like the first meeting between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg in 2016 to that year’s first Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown Women’s Elimination match.
Classic events will also be highlighted, including one of the most controversial of all time. That would be of course the famous Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels match in 1997 that went on to coin the title of “Montreal Screwjob”, and for good reason.
The big event will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Sunday, November 19. The WWE Survivors Series 2017 Special goes on sale that same month, and you can find the official solicitation below and a preview of both covers in the gallery.
