Sideshow’s New Red Sonja Premium Format Figure Is A Masterpiece

Sideshow Collectibles has officially launched the Red Sonja Premium Format figure that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year. Kudos to the artists, because this one’s a stunner.

The Red Sonja figure stands at 20.5-inches tall, with a massive battle-axe slung over her shoulder and the head of her unfortunate enemy skewered at the end of her sword. As you’ll see in the gallery below, the detail on this figure is pretty astounding. From her classic chainmail “armor” complete with ornate embellishments to the texture of her hair and the subtle freckles on her face, nothing appears to have been overlooked.

The exclusive edition Red Sonja Premium Format Figure is available to pre-order now for $560 with shipment slated for June – July 2018. The exclusive edition includes a war banner cloak that drapes over her shoulders as a “trophy of her victory”, and includes some fine filigree detail. The figure also has a companion art print by artist Alex Pascenko that’s part of a hand-numbered limited edition of 300 pieces. Needless to say, if money isn’t much of an issue, having these two pieces side-by-side would be quite an addition to any collection.
