Batgirl and the Birds of Prey may already have reintroduced the titular characters to the post-Rebirth DC Universe with a best-selling one-shot last month, but the story kicks off properly in this week’s Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #1 from writers Julie and Shawna Benson with artist Claire Roe and colorist Allen Passalaqua.

The issue picks up the biggest thread from the Rebirth one-shot: the idea that somebody is using the name of “Oracle,” and it’s not only not Barbara Gordon, but it seems to be somebody she definitely doesn’t want dragging her rep through the mud.

That puts Barbara (Batgirl) and her longtime friend Black Canary on the road to figure out what’s going on with this new “Oracle,” all while their new kinda-sorta-but-not-really ally Helena Bertinelli is trying to kill Oracle for unrelated –we assume? — reasons.

You can check out preview pages for this week’s issue in the gallery attached and read the full solicitation text below.

“Who Is Oracle?” part one! Someone has stolen the name Oracle right out of Barbara Gordon’s past! Hot on this false Oracle’s trail, Batgirl, Black Canary, and Huntress are all tracking the same mafia capo…so it makes sense to team up, right? Problem is, Barbara and Dinah need the secrets locked up in Oracle’s brain…and Helena Bertinelli would rather put a crossbow bolt right through it!

You can get Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #1 at your local comic shop on Wednesday, or pre-order it on ComiXology here.
