It looks like Justice League is already paying homage to the DC Comics films that came before it.

A new photo of Barry Allen/The Flash (Ezra Miller) was unveiled earlier this week. It showed Barry in his ‘street clothes’ outfit that audiences have already seen in quite a bit, a red flannel jacket and grey hoodie underneath. And, as some fans have pointed out, Barry’s outfit and stance in the photo evokes a classic DC Comics film – Superman: The Movie.
Fans might have caught the style similarities between Barry and Superman‘s young Clark Kent (played by Jeff East) in some of Justice League‘s earlier promotional material, but the photo really highlights how intentional the homage is.
This is just the latest in a list of Easter egg that fans have spotted in the new Justice League photo. Aside from appearances from Rick & Morty and Nikola Tesla, Barry’s various screens include references to Captain Cold, Action Comics, and possibly The Flash television series.
Justice League currently has a 4.19 out of 5 ComicBook.com User Anticipation rating making it the third most anticipated upcoming comic book movie among ComicBook.com readers. Justice League opens in theaters on November 17, 2017.
