‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Season 3 Premiere Photos Released

The CW has released their preview photos for ‘Aruba-Con’, the season three premiere of Legends of Tomorrow.

The episode sees the show’s titular team in a unique situation. After “breaking time” in the season two finale, the Legends have created an array of anachronisms throughout history.

“We’re definitely all effected.” Brandon Routh, who plays Ray Palmer/The Atom, told ComicBook.com. “We’re all in the same boat or ship as it were, and that kind of propels us into season 3, dealing with the future and present that we’ve created by rewriting history.”

But before they can do that, the group is stopped by Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his new Time Bureau, causing the Legends to disband. The group takes advantage of their new free time in various ways, from Mick Rory/Heatwave (Dominic Purcell) finally sitting on a beach in Aruba, to Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz) getting a job in retail.

“In season three, they get what they wished for — they finally get what they wanted,” Executive producer Phil Klemmer told ComicBook.com. “Rip comes and says ‘Hey, your dreams have come true; you don’t have to do this anymore,’ and our guys are like ‘Well, what do we do now?’”

But judging by these photos, it won’t take too long for the Legends to get back to protecting the timeline, starting with a run-in with Julius Caesar (Simon Merrells).

Legends of Tomorrow returns to Tuesday nights at 9 p.m., following new episodes of The Flash, in October.
