EXCLUSIVE: Watch Scarecrow Terrify The Warden In New 'Gotham' Clip

09/28/2017 12:29 pm EDT

At the end of last week's Gotham premiere, Jonathan Crane finally took his final step toward becoming the psychotic and horrifying villain, Scarecrow. Now that he's fully embodied the persona, it looks like he's preparing to wreak havoc.

Where does he begin his reign of terror? Well, at Arkham Asylum, of course.

In this exclusive new clip from tonight's episode of Gotham, titled "A Dark Knight: The Fear Reaper," Scarecrow goes back to the place that once held him as prisoner and teaches the warden a lesson about the true meaning of fear.

In the clip, it's easy to see that Gotham is doubling down on the horror elements this season. Scarecrow is clearly not to be messed with.

Earlier this week, Scarecrow himself, actor Charlie Tahan, took some time to talk with ComicBook.com about bringing this scene to life.

"Yeah, I mean, it's Arkham Asylum, not the best place," Tahan said. "Especially for a kid who didn't really do anything wrong and was kind of manipulated by his dad. I think he was probably abused a little bit [in Arkham], and he kind of seeks his revenge on the warden. He wants him to feel as scared as he did when he was there."

"A Dark Knight: The Fear Reaper" will air on Fox tonight at 8 p.m. ET. You can check out the first photos from the episode in the gallery below!
