We here at Comicbook.com have confirmed with Warner Bros. that actor Otis Jai Dhanji has been cast in Aquaman as thirteen-year-old Arthur Curry.
The Young Aquaman
Dhanjiย is certainly a believable pick to play a younger version of actor Jason Mamoa, but more interesting is the fact that we’ll get these flashback scenes in the movie.
DC Comics writer (and DC Films head) Geoff Johns helped revamp the Aquamanย origin story in the 2000s, telling a story of how a troubled young Arthur Curry struggled to find his place between two worlds. From the look of Mamoa’sย Aquamanย inย Justice League, the story of that childhood is going to be even rougher in director James Wan’sย film.ย
