Today is Harley Quinn Day, and a new video is here to give fans a look at her quarter-century of evolution.
DC Comics is celebrating Harley’s legacy in a unique way, with the character taking over the annual Batman Day event. And to kick things off, they recently unveiled their ’25 Years, 25 Harleys’ video, which chronicles the character’s various comic appearances. You can check it out below.

The video features a rendition of Harley from each of the twenty-five years, and highlights all of the different ensembles she has worn along the way. Everything from Harley’s iconic red jumpsuit, to her more modern costume, to her outfits in Bombshells and DC Superhero Girls, can be seen. Even Margot Robbie’s live-action portrayal in Suicide Squad is represented in the video.
“Her popularity has just exploded over the years,” Bruce Timm, who co-created Harley, told ComicBook.com earlier this year. “I wasn’t even really aware that it was happening. I was kind of peripherally aware of it happening and then a couple years ago a reporter says to me, ‘You know she’s like the fourth most popular character in comic books now,’ and I was like, ‘What!?…How did that happen?’”
It’s safe to say that Harley is more popular than ever, both on and off the comic page. This year, Harley has been seen quite a bit on the animated side, stealing the show in The LEGO Batman Movie and Batman and Harley Quinn. Robbie is set to reprise the role in Gotham City Sirens, Suicide Squad 2, and a rumored Harley/Joker movie.
