Both Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist – stars of The Flash and Supergirl – previously acted in the hit musical show Glee on FOX.

Ahead of their big musical crossover episode, one of their former Glee co-stars has been cast as the big villain Music Meister.
Darren Criss has been cast as the melodius baddie, and he’ll take on his former Glee friends on the CW later this season.
All three actors had roles on the popular musical drama over the course of its five season run, and the actors have remained close to this day. Back in 2015, Gustin revealed that he’s been trying to land Criss a role on The Flash since it began. It looks like now he will have his opportunity.
The two-part crossover is set to air on March 20, 2017, and will take place over two nights. The first part will debut on Supergirl, but much of the musical part will air on The Flash‘s part of the story.

Based on the characters from DC, The Flash is from by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Supergirl), Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow, The Flash), Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and Aaron and Todd Helbing.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT; The Flash on Tuesdays at the same time, followed by DC’s Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m.; Arrow on Wednesdays at 8.
The Flash returns with all-new episodes Tuesday, January 24th on The CW.
