In last week’s episode of Gotham, Edward Nygma wrongly suspected Butch of being responsible for Isbella’s deadly car crash, so he abducted and tortured Butch and Tabitha. In effort to prevent Tabitha’s hand from getting lopped off, Butch admitted to killing Isabella, but since he couldn’t recall the manner of her death correctly, it finally dawned on Riddler that Butch wasn’t really to blame.

Meanwhile, while that was all going on, Barbara searched high and low for Butch and Tabitha, and along the way, she discovered that The Peguin has romantic feelings for Nygma. By the end of the episode, she puts two and two together and realizes that Penguin was jealous of Isabella and had her killed.

In this clip from Monday’s fall finale, Barbara confronts Nygma, telling him with a fake cough that Penguin is the true killer and uses a riddle to explain the mayor’s motive.

As the virus begins to spread in Gotham, the laboratory that is developing a cure is compromised. Mario and Gordon face off before the wedding, Selina meets an unexpected face and Barbara comes to Nygma with information about Isabella.

The regular cast features Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Morena Baccarin as Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Maggie Geha as the future Poison Ivy, Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, Benedict Samuel as Mad Hatter
