Many were saddened when the talented actor Heath Ledger died in 2008, especially after turning in such a monumental performance in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight as The Joker. Now fans will get to know him a bit better courtesy of Spike TV.

Spike’s “I Am” documentary series will focus on Ledger’s career (via The Wrap), which included films like Brokeback Mountain, The Patriot, A Knight’s Tale, 10 Things I Hate About You, and more. Ledger won the best-supporting-actor Oscar for his performance in The Dark Knight, but passed away from an overdose of prescription drugs before the film hit theatrical release. The film went on make over $1 billion worldwide during its run, and currently has an 89.19 on ComicBook.com’s composite rankings.

Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy came to an with The Dark Knight Rises and has given way to the DCEU. Next up for the current cinematic universe is Justice League, which stars Ben Affleck in the role of the Dark Knight in place of Christian Bale, who starred in Nolan’s trilogy.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarรกn Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017, while The Batman lands sometime in 2018.
