DC Comics fans were met with quite a surprise today with the news that an origin movie centered around The Joker is currently in development.

With Martin Scorsese set to produce, and The Hangover‘s Todd Phillips set to write and direct, this just might be one of the most interesting – and honestly bizarre – projects to come out of the Warner Bros.’ DC Films imprint yet.
