Earlier this week we reported on a tweet sent out by SpikeTV’s Lip Sync Battle’s twitter account saying “Prepare yourselves. #MichaelShannon is coming to#LipSyncBattle.” We mused what sort of singing experience he might have. Now we have an answer… or at least an answer to how he might lip sync.

The Man of Steel and Midnight Special star performed the Pixies 1989 favorite, ‘Here Comes Your Man.’

Competing against General Zod is Rachel Bloom of the CW comedy-drama series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. She performed Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream with a full high school band (or dance group?) backing her. Also making an appearance was lots and lots of acne, for some bad high school memories, you can check out the clip from the show below.

So what do you think of Shannon’s performance ComicBook.com readers? Will you be watching the episode Thursday night? Will Shannon’s Pixie performance win or will Blooms dream song beat take him out like Superman took out General Zod?

Lip Sync Battle started in 2015 with hosts LL Cool J and color commentator/DJ Chrissy Teigen. Previous episodes this season have had from The Loser’s Zoe Saldana lip syncing ‘No Scrubs’ up against Star Trek’s Zachary Quinto’s ‘Get Ur Freak On.’ No episode has gotten more attention though than when 21 Jump Street star, Channing Tatum appeared with his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum. Tatum, who has been cast as Gambit in an upcoming feature synced to ‘Run The World (Girls).’ He appeared in drag, with surprise guest star Beyonce.
